Recruiting Video - Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman’s Marine Systems, located in Sunnyvale, California has a long, storied history. This is where - on very short notice - Rosie the Riveter built the steamships that helped the United States win the Second World War. We were tasked to create a location profile video that would draw engineers, designers and technicians to come work on some of the most advanced submarine technology in the world. I’m ex-military, so it was an honor to even set foot at this facility.

Footage was captured by Brent Dey, Breck Prewitt and Azariah Oldacre. Sound design and color correction were completed at Moonshine Post. Editing was handled by Brent Dey and graphics were developed by Leah Ruth. The project was completed under the supervision of Ray Ruiz who said “recruiting in Sunnyvale is tough because the cost of living is so high and we’re competing with tech companies like Apple, Facebook and Google. Brent helped us strategize messaging around our history, our quality of life and the opportunity for engineers to be involved in all aspects of product development.”

”Brent also saw an opportunity for us to re-use assets we gathered to make targetted videos that could speak to specific audiences,” Ruiz says. “This was a great value-ad, a fantastic way to leverage footage that was in the can to reach an even larger audience of recruits.”
